应我校化学系荣誉教授麦松威院士及化学系邀请，美国杜邦(DuPon)化工公司加拿大籍华人吳宗灝博士将来于9月21日（星期二）上午来郑州大学为广大师生做一场关于“生物高聚物与可持续性发展”的报告。欢迎相关专业的广大师生参加。

美国杜邦公司创办于1802年7月，是世界第二大的化工公司，在20世纪带领聚合物革命，并开发出了不少极为成功的材料，比如：Vespel、氯丁二烯橡胶（neoprene）、尼龙、有机玻璃、特富龙（Teflon）、迈拉（Mylar）、凯芙拉（Kevlar）、M5fiber、Nomex、可丽耐（Corian）及特卫强（Tyvek）。杜邦亦在冷冻剂工业有重要角色，开发及生产氟利昂（Freon，CFC）系列，及其后对环境保护性更高的冷冻剂。杜邦在颜色工业上创制了合成色素（syntheticpigments）及油漆如ChromaFlair。
吴宗灝博士, 加拿大籍华侨。受教育于香港中文大学 (学士, 碩士–专业化學), 加拿大多伦多大学 (博士–专业高分子化学) 及美国哈佛大学商学院 (高级行政人員培训班–专业新产品开发)。吴博士八十年代回母校香港中文大学任教,专攻高分子化学及物理研究, 並指导碩士研究生,期間曾任香港化学会主席及香港橡胶学会理事。后重返美国杜邦 ( DuPont ) 化工公司,分別在美国和加拿大从事工业聚合物的发展和应用研究,参与及领导多个聚合物产品項目的发明,发展,生产和商业推广,其个人及小组的工作成就获得美加化工界和杜邦的多個奖项。吴博士在高分子专业的科学文献及有关高聚合物的发明、生产的专利共有数十篇。
